Pets
Pets are a core progression system and are absolutely essential to strengthen your hero line-ups. They provide permanent stat boosts and additional faction-based bonuses that directly impact your overall power.
Pet Categories
Pets can be divided into two main categories: faction-specific pets and all-hero pets.
- Faction-specific pets: Provide stronger stat boosts to heroes belonging to a specific faction (League, Horde, Nature).
- All-hero pets: Provide general bonuses that apply to all heroes, regardless of faction.
Choosing Pets Based on Your Main Faction
Before investing resources into pets, it is crucial to identify your main faction. Your primary pets should always align with this faction to maximize efficiency and power.
Early-game faction-focused pets are:
- League: Eggy
- Horde: Howli (used due to its Horde-specific skill, despite being an all-hero pet)
- Nature: Cactini
Howli is not a true Horde-only stat pet. Its base bonuses apply to all heroes, but it possesses a faction-specific skill that activates when a sufficient number of Horde heroes are present in the line-up. This mechanic exists for all pets once they reach Legendary rarity.
Deployed and Non-Deployed Pets
Pets assigned to a line-up actively provide their bonuses. However, even pets that are not deployed still contribute passive buffs. This makes upgrading multiple pets important, not just the ones actively used in your main queue.
Pet Rarity
At the beginning, pets are available in two rarities:
- Uncommon (Green): Can safely be released to obtain Pet Food.
- Rare (Blue): Must be kept, as they are essential for promotions.
Leveling Up vs Promotion
There are two main ways to increase a pet’s power: Level Up and Promote.
- Level Up: Uses Pet Food. Once the pet reaches Legendary rarity, Pet Essence is also required.
- Promote: Increases rarity and star level. Requires duplicate pets, not Pet Food.
These two systems are interdependent. Level caps require promotions to progress further, and promotions require minimum pet levels to unlock.

Handling Duplicate Pets
Only the highest-level copy of each pet provides bonuses. Multiple copies of the same pet do not stack their buffs.
For this reason, you should:
- Keep and upgrade only one copy of each pet.
- Lock that pet to prevent accidental release.
- Use all other copies exclusively as promotion material.
Pets for Secondary Queues
When assigning pets to secondary queues, the main faction should still remain the priority. Instead of investing in multiple faction-specific pets, it is often smarter to use all-hero pets that have faction-specific skills matching the secondary queue.
Advanced Pets
Later in the game, true faction-specific pets become available. For Horde players, Flickerkit is unlocked and provides direct Horde-specific stat boosts.
Players with sufficient resources may consider switching from Howli to Flickerkit as their primary Horde pet.
How to Obtain Pets
Pets are obtained through daily Bounty quests. Defeating mobs grants eggs, which can be hatched inside the Pet Paradise building.
- Eggs can be green or blue.
- Both egg types can produce Uncommon or Rare pets, with different probabilities.
It is strongly recommended to spend diamonds daily to unlock additional Bounty mobs, as this significantly increases egg acquisition and long-term progression.

Final Recommendations
Always focus your resources on pets that support your main faction. Faction-specific pets provide the highest value, while all-hero pets remain useful as secondary and passive boosters.
